Thompson, Hoffman & Company (TH&C) exists to advise management within a select group of public and private entities. William Shedd put forth, "a ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for." We feel it is the same for the organizations that are facing an increasing sea of complexity, uncertainty, and demands. But, that is why they exist, to effectively take on those challenges. And that is why we are here to advise them.

The ideals for this firm began with a pre-dawn discussion in the summer of 1995 while casting for bass in the muddy waters of the Black Warrior river. Several years and fishing outings later, those ideals came to fruition in the spring of 2002 with the founding of Thompson, Hoffman & Company.
